    Hi Grechen,

Once again – great timing! I’ve been eyeing the Vince cardigan you have listed in this post – can you comment on sizing? And how does this cardigan compare with your one from Everlane? Thanks in advance!

i was worried that the medium would be too big, but it wasn’t, and layered nicely over my long sleeve shirt. it’s long enough that it completely covers my butt, and straight, so it falls nicely. the cashmere is slightly thinner than medium-weight – not lightweight, definitely, but not heavy either. just right actually. i didn’t try to button it or see if it would…the sleeves actually seemed to be the right length on me, which is unusual!!

the cashmere quality seemed very good, slightly more “plush” than everlane – a little softer. in the same size (medium) i like this one better than my everlane cardigan because it’s longer and slouchier. but everlane is launching new cashmere in march – it will probably be slouchy, so i’m thinking i’ll just wait until then and not get this vince sweater. but it is SOOOO tempting!!! it was very nice. simple, but a great cashmere cardigan for everyday wear, and for many years, i think.

hope that helps!! let me know if you get it 😉

Super helpful, as always – thank you so much for your advice (and also for the quick reply)!

I know what you mean about waiting for the new Everlane cashmere – a tough decision! For me one of the factors is that the Vince cardigan also comes in a dark moss green (on my monitor, anyway!) called “foliage” I’ve been interested in, and I don’t think a similar colour will be released by Everlane given the spring launch!
The bonus is that that the foliage is on sale at Neiman for $127, which puts it at the same price as Everlane, so I will give it a shot!

oh yes!! get the foliage. i can’t remember if i saw that yesterday at NM or not…not in the cardigan anyway, but i think i saw another cashmere sweater in that color, and it was very nice.

everlane might release one in the moss color like the v-neck that i have – but it seems like the foliage is more brown than green? i don’t know, it’s always hard to tell on the computer. but anyway, good find!! i would get the black for $127 but it’s only available in petite 🙁

Yes, I love that moss colour of your Everlane sweater! Hmmm, you’re right it’s hard to tell with the monitor differences, but I definitely thought foliage was more green than brown…something to think about. I suppose the sweater isn’t final sale at NM, so I could still try…

I have noticed that the Vince cardigan “pops back” on NM (and on Saks too – $164 there, but black is sold out at the moment)…but I also read your post earlier about your shopping hiatus, so I’m not going to say any more… 😉

      haha! thanks 🙂
i love it, but i don’t need it. i can wait for everlane, or not.
